I had the same issue.
Mine worked with my 2x8GB G.Skill RipJaws 2400 for about 2 weeks (XMP not enabled, so running at 2133), then decided it didn't like it any more. Swapped it for another set, didn't like those either. Swapped that set for Corsair 2133MHz and not had a single hiccup. Thankfully bought from Amazon, so replacements came same day and I had a month to return the originals.
The board will run OC'ed memory, but RipJaws seem very problematic. There appears to have been lots of success with the G.Skill Trident Z, but it's just not worth the hassle for me, personally.
The Rev 1.1 version of the board apparently overcomes this flaw.
