Hey guys, I am considering buying the abovementioned card. I noticed that the card has two PCI-E power connectors. Do I have to connect them for all functionalities of the card? If not, for what functionalities do I need the connectors? I saw a Youtubevideo on the Alpine Ridge Thunderbolt Gigabyte card which also has both the PCI-E power connectors; in the video, a hard disk is attached and a data transfer via thunderbolt is shown without the PCI-E power connectors connected.
