No Video signal to monitor 3 short 1 long beeps

As the header says, when I switch on the PC everything runs CPU fan, GPU fan Extractor fan etc, all I get is 3 short 1 long beeps and the monitor has an icon the says " no connection check cable ". It is my friends PC and I am using my monitor and cable which is fine. I suspect it is the Sapphire 6850 graphics card but I can't find any info about the bios beeps.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorted .............. needed an active dvi-d to vga adaptor to get a signal ....or just connect a digital monitor.
The 3 beeps were emanating from an all-in-one usb media panel.
