Intel 530 integrated GPU flickering on HDMI on z170 UD5
« on: April 15, 2017, 08:13:38 pm »
I am having this problem that my i7 6700k setup on z170x ud5 along with g.skill tirdent z rgb at 3000Mhz( running at 2133Mhz) is constantly flickering while i connect my monitor using a hdmi cable while this cable works super fine with my laptop and the monitor (Samsung FHD curved).

I have tried almost everything but cant solve the problem.Do i need to send it to RMA?

Is there any solution?

Greetings,
What model FHD are you connecting to?   What res are you trying to run?  The cable you are connecting with should be direct point to point without any adapters.  The cable compliance rating usually affects sound capability (before image), but I would confirm the cable is at least v1.2a or v1.4 compliant, regardless if it works with other devices.

If you are trying to run at 4k...  still images and some films might work.  If you are trying to game, it won't work.  What you are seeing is the attempted native frame rate conversion of 24p to 30 frames or higher.  Your monitor may or may not be able to handle the output (desired resolution) from the HDMI port.

1 x HDMI port, supporting a maximum resolution of 4096x2160@24 Hz
 * Support for HDMI 1.4 version.
