Will Ryzen 5 boot up?

Will Ryzen 5 boot up?
« on: April 12, 2017, 06:20:46 pm »
Hello!

I have an urgent question. I have ordered a GA-AB350-Gaming 3 motherboard with a new Ryzen 5 1600 cpu. The question is will it boot up to BIOS? Im sure it will have the stock F2 firmware. Is it possible to actually boot up and get to BIOS update screen? Thanks in advance!

I've received the ryzen+mobo combo and it worked like a charm. Base F2 bios version. Booting the old windows 10 made the whole pc restart but i did manage to update bios via flash drive and reinstalled windows.

According to Gigabyte, (AB350-Gaming 3) Ryzen 7 CPUs are supported in BIOS F3, and Ryzen 5 CPUs require F6

Sorry, it's the microatx variant: GA-AB350M-Gaming 3

Still, got to bios update screen no problem with Ryzen 5 1600 and updated to latest firmware.
