Those files has a standalone installer. You dont need @BIOS to update. Just run the exe file in administrator mode.
If your VGA is running well is not a good idea do the BIOS update.
You have to see what BIOS is compatible with your VGA memory vendor. That's the right BIOS to update.
Or, like I did, send a email to gigabyte support to check if the BIOS in the site is compatible with your VGA.
I update my GTX 1070 G1 Gaming two times! :) no problem to do that!

After emailing Gigabyte support, they have told me that for the F2 bios, the DH folder version is for DVI/HDMI inputs and the DP folder version is for Display Port inputs. However, after trying the new Bios update, I have noticed my overclock not able to obtain greater than 2012Mhz, so I'd advised against updating if you have no problems with the card. The Bios update did not improve performance and is most likely not necessary at least from my experience. I have since restored my bios to the F1 version. Hope that helps.

Yes, I don't remember exact numbers as I am not near my PC but with a core clock offset of +72 and Power limit, Temp, and Voltage offsets at max in Xtreme Gaming Engine the core clock was reaching 2100MHz+ on the F1 BIOS. On the new BIOS no matter what settings I changed I couldn't go above 2012MHz. Your card may be different however.

Hey, not sure if you still need the bios but here it is https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/186272/gigabyte-gtx1080-8192-160609-2. This is the stock bios I just uploaded using GPU-Z (you can also use this to make backups). Extract the nvflash files (2 files) from here http://filehorst.de/d/bAurGoxG and ignore the roms as they are for the Asus 1080. The NVflash from the official site did not work me but this version did. Just follow the guide here http://www.overclock.net/t/1523391/easy-nvflash-guide-with-pictures-for-gtx-970-980 to restore bios.

Well, I needed the info if no one else did.  I was able to flash my card using the method rmo7100 posted.  The F2 bios update said it had more stable OC... so I updated it.  All it did to mine was cap the boost and power limit to ridiculously low levels.  My power limit never went above 75% after I went to the F2 bios despite a 130% target.  +100 GPU clock locked at 2025 and never moved an inch.  Temps never went above 72 C despite a conservative fan curve.

Could not get the power target to move at all unless I turned off the fans completely.  Even then, it never got to 100%, the card crashed with any decent overclock at that point because of the power issue. Do not update to that bios unless you need it.
