« on: June 18, 2017, 06:00:24 pm »
Hello all, I bought a Z270x motherboard, and put the i3 7350k in the socket.

When i go in the bio, it does not allow me to change the settings to manual. I can't change clock speeds, i can't change voltages, i can't change memmory things. i can't do a thing. And it's just therefor i bought this processor and this motherboard. :(

Greetings

The 7350k is a unlocked processor.  You should be able to make changes to the multiplier, and voltage, etc.  What memory are you running?  Is it on the QVL for the board.  Do you have it set manually?  Are you using XMP??  What troubleshooting steps have to tried?

I am using ballistix ram 4gbb DDR4 (2 sticks, 8 in total)
I do not know if it is QVL, but i did not bought it from some Chinese website :P

I am not able to put things on manual. almost everything in the bios is not changeable.
things i can change is if hyper-tread and boost is allowed. and on memory i can change something from auto to 100 and 133.

that is about everything i can change :(

The question is off course, how can i do my changes :D

Hi there,

Have you tried highlighting the item you want to change and then using the  "+", "-" keys to alter the settings up & down?

Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

Pull the motherboard battery out for a few minutes to reset cmos. Now you should be able to get back into bios.
