I am asking as I have issues with F8J after installing an MSI R5770 Hawk 1GB graphics card. The issue I have is that when rebooting, I can hear the PC fans increasing and decreasing in a repeating cycle for about 3 times. It is even worse (about 8 cycles) when I turn the computer off and then on at the power point. Also when putting the computer to sleep and awakening it, the power cycles start again and the computer does not wake up but just reboots.
I decided to reflash the bios back to F7 and that seems to have worked but in Windows 7 my CPU is shown as an AMD Phenom II x4 955 running at 1.6MHZ (rather than 3.2Mhz). I sent a technical support request to Gigabyte a couple of days ago but they have not responded. Does anyone know of this issue and if there is a fix or is Gigabyte working on it as we speak?
