MISSING BOOTMGR MSG ON FIRST BOOT ON X58A UD5, NO OS. HELP

MY SELF BUILD RIG:
X58A-UD5 V1 F1 / I7 930 / VELOCIRAPTOR 150 / HD 5770 MSI HAWK / H50 COOLING /PSU CORSAIR 750 / LITEON IHAS424 / WIN7 ULTIMATE ( NOT INSATLLED)(1 TB WD BLACK( NOT INSTALLED)

nEED HELP, I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO INSTALL MY OS, I KEEP GETTING THE MISSING BOOTMGR ERROR.
PUT TOGHETHER THE NEW RIG, FIRST BOOT.... LET IT RUN ALL THE WAY... GOT THAT MSG, DIDNT WORRY AS THE CD WAS EMPTY, IT WAS EXPECTED RIGHT?
RESET, WENT INTO BIOS, 1ST BOOT DEVICE, DVD, THEN HDD. PUT WIN 7 CD IN, RESET...GOT THE MISSING BOOTMGR PRESS CNTRL-ALT-DEL TO RESTART.
I DISCONECTED THE 2ND HDD, THE FRONT PANEL E-SATA, DISABLED THEM IN BIOS, LEFT THE ONE DRIVE (VELOC) & THE DVD ACTIVE... SAME THING...
i HAVE PREVIOUSLY CHECKED THE INTEGRITY OF THE HD WITH THE WD TOOL, SO ITS SUPPOSED TO BE OK.SO IM THINKINK MAYBE BECAUSE IT WAS FORMATTED ON AN XP MACHNE... MAYBE I CREATED A PARTITION & THATS THE PROBLEM, BUT GOOGLING IT... IT SHOULD AT LEAST GIVE ME THE INSTALLATION SCREEN FOR WIN 7 RIGHT?....
COULD IT BE THAT THE DVD CANT READ THE WIN 7 INST CD?..OR..
I LEFT THE FIRST BOOT RUN ALL THE WAY & SOMEHOW THE ERROR MSG GOT EMBEDDED?
DO I NEED TO FLASH BIOS ( VERSION F1 IS QUITE OLD I IMAGINE )...

plEASE HELP MY FIRST BUILD & I AM AT A LOSS....

UPDATE:
CHG TO THE 1TB & IT INSTALLED OK,(VELOCIRAPTOR NOT CONNECTED)  FORMATTED THE VELOCIRAPTOR IN WINDOWS 7, DISCONECTED THE 1 TB CONNECTED THE VELOCIRAPTOR AGAIN.. &... SAME MISSING BOOTMGR MSG...
I CONNECTED IT TO THE "0" SATA.. WHY WILL IT NOT LET ME INSTALL TO THE 10000 RPM DRIVE?, IS IT SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE DIFFERENT SATA CONTROLLERS?

Only connect the drive that has the OS to SATA port 0 of your pc, no others for now and press F12 when booting and select the drive that you want to boot

Good luck

Also when you put your rig together did you go into bios and set to load optimised default setting before you did anything else? If not do it now...
