i am hopeing someone here can help
i have had my new system put together and i am having an annoying problem
whenever i turn on the comp from cold ( turned off for more than 4 to 6 hours ) it goes into a bios reload boot cycle. the message i get is
AMD data change – update new data to DMI
Begin to update backup bios to latest version
writing bios image............
then reboots and starts all over again
it will do this until i hold power button till turned off and then turn on again and it starts as it should with no problems. once it starts then turn off and on or reboot has no problem
i have so far tried
new cmos battery – TWICE
reset cmos and start from default
several bios versions – now on latest ( F6 )
new power supply

Hi,

Not sure if I can help but......

I have come across this kind of problem with G-Skill memory before. Try booting with just one stick of RAM on-board and see if you can boot OK.

Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

thanks did try and it runs with 1 stick but not 2.
have now swapped to kingston ram and everything works perfect. it even shows more ram available ( gskill only showed 2.75 but kingston shows 3.25)
anyway seems there is a conflict with gskill and this board.
