Well, I have just finished ensambling the PC with a gigabyte blue beauty motherboard FX880 UD5 and I have installed the memory Absic recommend me (Corsair Vengeance at 1066 Mhz) and it has a phenom II 1055T. Finally I managed to install the water cooling system again and here is the process in pictures :-)

Now I want to adventure trying to overclock it. Now it has 25 C degrees at idle...is a good temperature ? Which would be the best program to try to overclock  ? Easy Tune 6? AMD Overdrive ? Thanks in advance !

For O.C. id just use the bios and no program at all.  That temp is real good AMD doesnt like their chips to go over 60c.  As it isnt a black edition isnt as easy as raising the multiplier.  Is it not running fast enough for you at stock speeds?  You would have to raise the bus speed and that also O.C.'s your memory.  Then maybe add a lil voltage to it.

If you have never overclocked before then id google it and read of the pros and cons. Also give you a more in depth look at what you have to change in bios. CPUZ  google that it is a nifty lil program and make sure you turn off all power saving features in bios also.

I have a 1055T which for 6 months has ran at 3.5Ghz on an MA78LMT-US2H quite happily, I recently obtained a 1090T and an ASUS MA88-V EVO  but the 1090T didn't perform too well on the ASUS board so I swapped them around -  I couldn't get the 1090T stable above 3.7GHz.... Have now swapped the 1090T onto the Gigabyte board and it is quite happily sitting at 4GHZ.

The 1055T is now on the Asus board and I am slowly winding up the FSB to see how I can get without loosing stabilty- hopefully will hit 3.7 with my current air cooling solution.

With a .050 voltage add to cpu on my 1090t i can do a stable 4.219. Windows score is 7.7 processor and 7.7 ram and then graphics and hard drive are both 7.9.  This is with a zalmann cooler 9700.  multi is 21 and fsb is default but is a bit off cause i get the 19 added to the 4.2. Honestly though 3.8 seems the same as the 4.2 so i keep it at 3.8 now but ran the other for 5 months.

Wanted to make it last longer so i turned it down because the bulldozier didnt live to the hype.

Thanks a lot for your reply autotech and TheFiend ! Your information is very helpful. I hope to achieve similar speeds with the water cooling system. I will post here the evolution of "the project" :-)

Just to add..... the best OC program is the one between your ears! .... it also updates on the fly to your machine!

OC programs become a crutch , you will always be limited, and becomes a very hard habit to give-up .... far better, and more stable clocks will be achieved  with your own noodle ..... and you'll understand what's going on as well far better!
