GA-UD5-X58 Rev 1 Volts/Temps Issues

Hey guys this is a long issue that i cannot seem to fix or get absolute help for.

I bought this mobo last year about november/december time. It wasn't until later this year maybe 2 months ago when i was in bios i noticed some weird bios vcore temps and volts reading what were way off the mark.

At the time i owned a Gigabyte 800Wat ODIN PSU and that was faulty because the 3.3 volts was hitting the 3.5 volts which is a red warning, anyways that got replaced with a Corsair HX-850 so im on a new PSU.

Anyways my sytem is at stock settings with the Memory timings at 8-8-8-20 1600Mhz on some G.skill Tridents, these tridents are a new set sent from G.skill as the initial set were faulty. I have never overclocked my System so we can rule out overclocking.

- Vcore LEDs are Red all the time as in BIOS the Vcore is about 76-82 degrees. This is with a stock intel cooler supplied with the i7920 CPU.
- NB Temps are fine.
- Vcore Volts are 1.58 or their abouts, the actually BIOS setting say its about 1.35 from memory on stock settings, it seem changing this to lower makes no difference

Now i have covered myself by using another X58 Mobo from EVGA, its the EVGA X58 3x SLI mobo, in it's BIOS all my volt readings and temps are perfect, the vcore temps are like 30 degrees on idle and go up to 60 on games.
All the other settings relating to the 3.3 volts and 5 volts and also 12 volts are spot on.

I then updated the BIOS the F12 from F9, no difference, i then updated to BIOS F13 Beta. No difference. I then RA'ed the mobo through the supplier and it was sent to Gigabyte as they found a weird Volt reading as well. Gigabyte tested it and all they did was update the BIOS to F13j and sent it back saying its fine.

After 6 weeks i then got the mobo back and to my amazment the mobo was exactly the same as when i sent it to them, im not sure if they even tested it tbh. At the moment im not going to use the Mobo because it might cause damage to the hardware.

Why did Gigabyte send me a faulty mobo back? why was it not replaced or tested? What do i now do with a faulty mobo?

Hi, I have answered your other post and normally we don't encourage double posting but I did fell that in theis case it was warranted.

The motherboard itself does sound faulty and I am afraid that you are not the first person to complain about Gigabyte returning items saying NFF on an obviously faulty product.
