bricks
tata:
having some new sort of problem now today twice my computer got some violet coloured small bricks all over the screen and then it got hang i have never got this prob before . plus last night i downloaded the game cryostasis and when i checked the gpu temps they were primary 105 c and secondary 75 c i dont think this is normal. my idle temps are high to 60 and 48 . is there something wronf with the gpu because it got overheated . my cpu is q6600 and is oced to 3.6 can this may be the problem.
Whitehot:
your GPU defo sounds like it's over heating, have you overclocked?
oggmonster:
Thats quite a big temp difference between your 2 cards. Are both fans on the cards working properly? Whats the case airflow like?
Try having just 1 graphics card in to see if you get the same problem with the brick type things.
Also whats the temp like on your CPU? How stable of an overclock is it?
Badbonji:
What components are in the system, and what case are you using (and any fans)
The bricks sound like the gpu becoming unstable from overheating, 105C is at the limit where it throttles and ultimately shuts down/hangs.
Are these overclocked at all? How much room between the two cards? Single slot coolers or dual slot?
Check the fans are spinning and no dust is blocking airflow and if there is, you can use cans of compressed air which is usually best for removing dust from inside the case or components.
Is wire management good in the case?

Actually it's more like 115-125c :P
Purple bricks is GPU though. Most likely the V-RAM is overheating, this causes broken textures or colour distortion.
Which GPU is it? You say 2, but is it 2 seperate cards or an X2 PCB GPU (2x gpu chips on 1 card)?
