Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0)
I update my chipset to 18.10.20.02 before updating my bios to F24d. Problem is that windows tell me that i installed version 17.12 ! Is there any error in the file that you post for the chipset ?
Greetings,
Is this still an issue for you? Were you having performance problems with your rig? Updating just for the sake of having the latest BIOS or driver version available isn't always wise. I also usually avoid beta BIOS' unless absolutely necessary.
You didn't say what build of windows you were running? I'd stay on 1803 until the New Year. 1809 was unreliable and iffy until recently. It introduced more issues than it fixed. I updated 1 machine to this build for testing. my other systems are all on 1803.
The 18.10.20.02 chipset driver is only confirmed to be supported in windows builds 1709 and 1803. Its not yet posted on AMD's website as of my reply:
https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x370 (currently 18.10.1810)
Its possible you have a later version, but one of the files could have incorrect details, or might not be compatible with other drivers on your system keeping something from upgrading properly. I'm just guessing sice we don't have all the facts about your OS and system.
My recommendation however, sit back and wait. Don't rush to be the first adopter.
