B450M DS3H - Raid Array not showing in Win 10 Disk Management

Hi, This is a new build.

Novatech Barebones Bundle
  Motherboard - B450M DS3H - BIOS F50
  CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 3.7Ghz
  Memory - 2x4GB DDR4 2400MHz Samsung M378A5244CB0-CTD
  PSU - Gigabyte B700H
+
System Drive C: Kingston A2000 250GB NVME M.2
HDD - 2x Seagate Baracuda 1T Seagate ST31000528AS
Windows 10 64bit - Drivers updated from Gigabyte website

I have followed the instruction in the User Guide and have created a Raid 1 array.

I was expecting the array to show up in the Windows 10 Drive Management window. But it's doesn't.

Am I missing something? See screenshots at the link below.

Hi RzB,

Can you see if the raid driver is happily installed?
I'm guessing you should be able to see this under computer management.

If everything is happy in the bios, then my first guess is a driver related issue, because if the hardware is fine, and the drivers are happy, then I think it's likely you would see the raid array presented in disk management as you've suggested.

Another option for checking which drivers are loaded, is using Microsoft Sysinternals Process Explorer (free download from Microsoft).
Under the "System" process, check for loaded libraries, which appear as *.sys files.
Grab the list of gigabyte drivers and post back.

Looking into this.

First step: Windows
Disk Management > Action menu > Rescan Disks (Result?)

If nothing proceed:

Please fill in these blanks.

Was the Kingston A2000 system drive installed UEFI? "UEFI:Windows Install Media" (example)

Did you format it GPT during windows install (shift+F10) or use MBR?

What method for RAID are you using?  Standard RST, EZ RAID etc?

In BIOS, what are the settings under Peripherals > SATA and RST Configuration > SATA Mode : "Intel RST.." or AHCI

BIOS (Array):
Please verify the disk members appear correctly under Peripherals > View Associated Physical Disks
One should appear master, the other marked mirror

Troubleshooting:
Once Confirmed, change CSM to enabled and Storage Boot Option Control to Legacy.  Now enable the Legacy Option ROM.

Save Bios F10 and restart.  Return to Disk Management and Rescan Disk subsystem.

Not clear, but it looks like a BIOS setting and formatting might be the cause.  The above should help you determine.

Thank you very much for your help with this. Unfortunately I have run out of time on this problem. I was setting this up for a non techie friend as a way to give hime some limited backup in case of a disk failure. So I shall use some sort of backup application - probably the native Win 10 backup. I think Fred was probably correct in that it is something to do with the drivers - installing the latest Raid setup driver from the Gigabit site threw up an error. Anyway - I can no longer fiddle around with this. Apologies for wasting your time.
