APP Center keeps telling me there's an update?
« on: November 24, 2020, 12:00:33 am »
APP Center  ( B20.0803.1 )  keeps telling me there's an update and the icon on the right in the taskbar shows a small red mark to signify this. But I cannot see what needs updating as there is no more information in the tabs called Gigabyte Apps, or Windows Settings? ........... do we just have to guess or just ignore all this?
Windows 11 Pro 64bit
Ryzen   7 3700X
GIGABYTE  RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB GAMING OC Pro
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB  (DDR4-3200)
Gigabyte 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe
Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE
Corsair Carbide 175R PC Case

Greetings,
What to do first.  Determine if the "update" is for the App Center itself, or for one of the installed Apps.

This might be difficult since the downloadable version on the support portal for your board as of today is:

B20.0723.1

You'll have to reconcile the Apps since that varies based on what you have installed.

If it really bothers you, you can uninstall, restart (important step) and reinstall.  See if that helps.

I've been using the same version of the App Center on my Z97 rig for almost 3 yrs.  I turned off auto update.  Works perfectly.
