Disabling usb ports?

Hi,

I have a GA-B85-HD3 motherboard and have a quick question.

There is an option in the bios to disable the usb ports until the operating system loads.

If I take this option does it also disable the keyboard and mouse usb ports?

I ask as the pc does not boot with the usb equipment connected for some reason?

Also, could I still use the ps2 port with the usb ports disabled to be able to enter the bios and make alterations?
