BIOS Update to Enable GC-TPM 2.0? (Windows 11)
Alienmoon:
As you may be aware Windows 11 is unable to run without a TPM installed.
I have also been reading that we will be needing a BIOS update to enable the this TPM module to work.
My Motherboard is GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 (rev. 1.0)
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z170X-Gaming-7-rev-10#ov
I have just ordered a GC-TPM 2.0 Trusted Platform Module Gigabyte from Scan.co.uk
Link to Scan.co.uk sales page
https://www.scan.co.uk/products/gigabyte-gc-tpm-20-trusted-platform-module-compute-securely
I will need a BIOS Update that would enable this GC-TPM 2.0 module to function on my current motherboard with Windows 11, but it's not on offer for download on the Gigabyte product support page for my current motherboard.
any help you can offer would be appreciated.
Thank You
Gary

I forgot to add to the above post:
Does this F22m BIOS already have TPM feature, or would I need a BIOS Update from Gigabyte?
Thank You

Hi did you ever get an answer or find out if the BIOS available works?
I have the same motherboard with a Skylake CPU

Greetings,
Not 100% sure at this point, but the 6700K might not be supported with widows 11:

SummermoonUK:
Did you ever get an update?
I can get the TPM 1.2 module to work no issue but getting the GC-TPM 2.0 module to even show up in bios is not happening.
