lga 1150 GA-Z97X Gaming GT - case fans louder after boot
« on: September 10, 2021, 06:05:45 pm »
Hi all,

firtst post here...

I bought this mobo recently and I reconfigured the case fans for low rpm. But everytime I boot the computer, my fans gets louder than I was set them. The fix is that after every boot I must open System Information Viewer, and the fans after that gets quiter. Is there another fix for this issue?

The other thing is when I got the mobo, I didn't know that I must install App Center for fan control (I thinked that the options are just in bios). And without App Center, my cpu 4790K was normally got very hot just in idle. When I asked Gigabyte official support, the guy didn't knew to told me that I must install App Center and SIV for fan control. I find out for App Center on Youtube.

Regards,
Vedran

You could use a program such as Argus Monitor: https://www.argusmonitor.com/

I know this doesn't address the basic issue but, I use this program myself for controlling the fans and it kicks in pretty quickly once the OS has loaded.

Thank You. Do I have to uninstall App Center from Gigabyte before installing Argus monitor?

Hello,

Sorry for another question, iff You have the time to answer... Why I don't have proper monitor control in bios? I have 3 gui versions, but only have to choose quiet, medium and performance. When I change them, I don't see any differences. The cpu gets very hot in Windows when the SIV is not installed as software in Windows. Is this normal? I mean, I had Asus Z97 K before and there was Qfan control in Bios, which was worked very nice...

It would be a good idea to uninstall App Centre and all Gigabyte software before using Argus Monitor.

On a personal note, I do not install any of the bundled software that comes with a motherboard (no matter which manufacturer) as I have found, more often than not, it causes more issues than it solves. This could be why you are having problems with temperatures and fan control.
