I'm trying to fix a friends PC
When the power button is pressed nothing occurs. No fans start no leds go on. There is no boot not even into bios.
I have confirmed that the PSU is working, as is the RAM and the SSD drive with windows 10 on it.
The motherboard is quite old and i am wondering if someone can tell me if there is on option on the motherboard to jump start the PC directly without using the mechanical power button. The Motherboard is a Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3
Any help appreciated
Erick
Greetings,
if you are referring to the power button on the case, its connected to a 2 pin motherboard header on the board. Its possible to short these PINs using a small screwdriver or similar.
