B550 Aorus Elite V2 - F14e BIOS problems
« on: December 06, 2021, 09:20:54 am »
Hello  :)

I'm having some issues with the latest BIOS for the B550 Aorus Elite V2 motherboard.
After flashing in the F14e it is impossible for me to change the frequency of the ram or the FCLK. No matter how lose overclock i tried the system would not post and I had to flashback to get the computer working again.

After some time trying i just rolled back to F13 BIOS and I could again set my RAM overclock (3800/1900/CL15 with geardown mode, 1T).

At the download-page we can read "Major vulnerabilities updates, customers are strongly encouraged to update to this release at the earliest" regarding the F14e BIOS. What are these "major vulberabilities"?

Since there seem to be some problems with the F14e I really dont want it  ;)

Windows 10, 21H2

Kind regards, Kyrre S.

Greetings,
Lots of hype and mentions about the two researcher and Sentinel1, but no real information or substance when you search for what they actually are.

I'd stay where I was at the for time being.  Its a beta BIOS and you are not the only one complaining about the inability to increase FCLK.

Thank you!

I almost felt obligated to flash the new BIOS since it seemed so urgent .. Strange there are no good information about why it is so important to update.

Yes - I will stick with the older BIOS for now :)

Sounds like the problem Aorus x570 elite are having with our latest beta bios.

Good to know that it's across boards and hopefully it will be sorted soon.

Like what Shadowsports says I'll stay with the Bios I'm using. The other thing is we are the little people here. We are not the big elites that they will go after. Been do this for 40yrs I don't worry about this small stuff.

100% of any Bios or Driver update is for people that are having problem!!! If you are not having problems leave well enough alone.

I'm running a Ga-X299X AORUS MASTER my Bios is 12/19/2019 plus that is where it will stay too.

Warning:
Because BIOS flashing is potentially risky, if you do not encounter problems using the current version of BIOS, it is recommended that you not flash the BIOS. To flash the BIOS, do it with caution. Inadequate BIOS flashing may result in system malfunction.
