Absic115 that has happened to me a few times also but everytime it happened i still had motherboard lights on. Just makes me wonder. Another weird question how old is your PSU. There is a point to that question i have a silverstone strider 1000 and in v1 if you hooked a 8800 GTS nvidia to it the PSU wouldnt turn on. Silverstone after finding their blunder offered a free swap with call tag to give to anyone running a 8800.

Thanks for that piece of info regarding the Silverstone Strider 1000 PSU autotech, I wasn't aware of that. Do you know if any other Silverstone PSU's have the same problem?

Well the problem is that no fans are spinning, no lights are on. It seems like the motherboard is just completely dead. I live in a Mid-Sized town call Elsinore(Helsingor) in Denmark north of copenhagen.

If I can just jump in here and suggest something.  Disconnect everything apart from the CPU and it's cooler from the motherboard(leave on the buzzer also) and then try and power it up. Also disconnect the hard drives etc from the PSU. What if any response do you get?

In that case the motherboard is most likely dead, the only other option is a dead chip. RMA time ;)

and i just found out that my CPU is the older 125w version so they should work together. So the motherboard must be dead.

That would seem to be the case. Still it shouldn't be a problem RMA'ing it but it is very frustrating. Please let us know how you get on.
