Bios Update B650M DS3H

<< < (2/3) > >>

dmdilks:
In almost 30 yrs of building computers. I have never really look at the compatibility list on memory. If the computer boots it runs with any problem I'm good to go.

There are like only three companies that make memory chips for all computer memory. So does it really matter who you buy them from.

So yes if the computer is running with no problem you good to go. Plus you said when you were buying the computer the person was having problems with it to boot. That is very common when you want to run a better CPU. That the 1st bios didn't support.

Thank you for your advice  :)
Just one more question - when the Computer starts booting to Windows there is one long beep aprox. 2 to 3 seconds.
I read somewhere this is the AMI Bios saying everything is okay. Is that right ?
Thank you

They don't put those codes in the book any more. By what I'm reading a long beep says it is memory problem. At one time that beep told you everything was OK. So just keep I on the memory.

Today with LED lights that is what I'm going by. When the board boots. It checks 1st CPU, 2nd Memory, 3rd Video & than everything else. If you look at the LED it does that same thing when booting

You should have build a AM4 board when they 1st came out. A lot of them took for ever to post. Some of them up to 2 mins or more.

Thank you for your answer.
Should I make a Stress Test ? And which one do you recommend ?

dmdilks:
I use a program call IntelBurnTest v2.54.
