then you're saying that this F3-12800CL9Q-16GBRL can work with this mainboard.
Ok but did you have any issue to make them work properly? some settings ?
I only installed (2) sticks at 1st and I believe they came up as DDR3 1333 (667 Mhz) but at 9 across the board, 24T & 2T (auto/default).
With 2 sticks DDR3 1600 (800 Mhz) was easy, could even tighten the timing 8 8 8 8 24T 1T and pass mem86! Both dammed pairs to boot.
I kept the the 2 closest packaged sticks together and benched each at 800 Mhz at 9 9 9 9 24T 2T.
DRAM Voltage is set at Auto and it shows up as 1.510V.
Recommend stability testing 2 sticks at a time, these sticks can and do burn out if they get too hot from over-voltage of the DRAM V Control.
If your board comes with F1 (or F2) go straight to F3 and don't look back.
You will need to bump up the voltage in the NB VC (1.90 from 1.15V), CPU NB VID Control +0.75V & CPU V Control +0.05V) just to boot with 4 sticks @ 667 Mhz, Changed to 800 Mhz and Default lose Timings at 11 11 11 29T 2T.
Kept getting errors within an hour or 2 on mem86, so I dropped it down to 667 and passed, then installed OS.
with the ups they work properly @1600 and without they work properly @1333 right ?
Yeah, even I know this sounds like I'm full of it, but that six pack of dead guys ale could of helped, umm I really don't know.
My old OPTI 1500C just got a new battery and is hooked up to the HTPC. This is what I used when I hit the 800 Mhz quad stick wall. Could be the 3 year old battery was a cause. Well, it's was a biAtch to fit into the stand so testing now is not an option
At the same time I got the CyberPower PP1500SWT4 UPS and a few days later figured what the hay and 800 Mhz is where I'm at stable
To get there you will need to do heavy tweaking in the BIOS
if i stick them in and use without bios setting's at 1333 CAS 9 they work right ?
At default (load Optimized also worked for me) settings on the F3 BIOS is easy peasy as long as you bump the above mentioned Voltage Optimized settings.
F2 was bootable with 2 sticks ONLY.
At 1333 (Can't help it, I still call it what it is: 667 Mhz) I got the Timings to 9 8 9 8 20T 2T on all (4) sticks and passed overnight. I believe I had to bump NB/PCIe/PLLto 1.860 from 1.800V.
The Timings will default at 11 11 11 28T 2T, this is by design. Not all sticks can dance the 800 Mhz dance, very few quad 4 GB sticks can do it with stability on tight timings.
