Hi all,
Just finished reading absic115 & Dark Mantis tests on 1600/8Gb ram....GREAT JOB! and thanks for all your efforts. I have a question. I'm running two different Gigabyte boards. One is an 880GMA-UD2H and the other an 890FXA-UD5. I prefer G.Skill and am using DDR3 1333 G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK in both. Would I see any gain by using DDR3 1600 G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ? The cost difference is negligible and I don't intend to OC either of these boards, and will not be using 8Gb Ram anytime soon. Each board has a Phenom II 965BE.
