Hello, my 1 year old computer recently stopped working, the lights woudl turn on, and the fans would spin, but it would not boot up. The computer had been working perfectly up until tthat point. I examined the parts myself and concluded that i was either the motherbaord or power supply. I took the computer to a local repair shop for a diagnosis (to be doubly sure) and had all the parts checked. The power supply was examined thoroughly and passed all the tests utilizing multimeters (for the voltages). Further testing revealed that it was only the motherboard that was indeed dead. I was wondering what the best course of action would be RMA wise, as I need a replacement ASAP for when I return to the University.
Also, I am worried because he gigabyte ex58-ud4p board was only a year old, but it seems that they are no longer manufactured (or at least not sold my local retailers and newegg). What would Gigabyte do in this instance? Thank you for your time!
(Side note: I live pretty close to the California based RMA center, what sort of time frame should I expect for service?)
