There are several new BIOS updates available at the moment but most of them are still beta versions and therfore maybe still a bit buggy. Do you have a specific reason for wanting to update?

The best STABLE BIOS at the moment is the F6 for Rev. 1 and FA for Rev 2. Please do not update your BIOS unless you are facing problems with the current one

I have a revision 1.0 board, so officially F6 but I am trialling another at the moment.

F7u (beta) is the latest on our website. There are others out there in the wild but they are more likely to be buggy. When they get released on the site they are usually nearly the finished article.

Hey Dm, you've been around here for a while so how long does a typical beta BIOS take to reach its final version?

It depends on the amount of problems with it, the speed of the feedback and how lazy the update writer is at the time ;D To be honest there is no real time line some take a lot longer than others.

hmmm....I'm glad that GB is atleast active with their BIOS updates unlike their end-user softwares which are very buggy

Yes I couldn't agree more. That is one area that Gigabyte are well known for, the BIOS updates. Some companies who shall remain nameless but I used to do a lot of work for on their forums used to be awfully slow and the support was another matter. That was one reason I left A**s and came over to Gigabyte. ;)
