BIOS Wallpaper question
« on: August 06, 2010, 12:38:00 pm »
Is there a way to force bmp files with higher resolution and better color depth into the BIOS? The ASUS mobos have really nice BIOS wallpapers. Is it possible?

Hi,

The only way that I know of changing the BIOS image is to use the Face Wizard utility from Gigabyte: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/Utility.aspx?cg=2

From what I remember you can only use an image of 640X480 Pixels but not too sure of colour depth. I guess it would be a case of suck it and see.

To be honest, I always disable this option in BIOS as I find it really annoying.

I remember  in the older versions of Windows it was just a case of copying a bmp file to the windows\system folder and renaming it. As long as it was the required size etc it was fine. The same as the shutdown screen.

We've had this discussion before. You remember it that way because you are an antique!  :o

I do know about GB's Face Wizard, but ASUS mobos can display a flash sequence at boot up. Is that possbile on GB mobos?
