Yes, there is only one Gigabyte employee attached to the forum and he has other duties as well. :-\

When you tried to update BIOS the first time in QFlash did you disable the "Keep DMI Data"  before flashing the BIOS?
I am not disable the "Keep DMI Data" and it was my error. Later i flash the same bios with disabled "Keep DMI Data" and operation has come to the end successfully.

Good outcome. This is something that has only recently come to light and we are looking into it now via Gigabyte's representative here on the forum.

Yes, I do understand and that is why we try to do what we can to help here on the forum. Most of these big companies are the same when iot comes to backup, they don't like to pay for more employees to speed up the customer queries as it is dead money in their eyes. Very short sighted in my view. Anyway if we can do anythinmg more via this forum we will so keep in touch.

I do understand your frustration and have even tried to exlain this shortcoming to Gigabyte but they seem not to understand. Only yesterday I wrote them an email saying how members felt let down and in despair because of the way GGTS doesn't even read the questions for ages. Sad.

Hi svalx

If you don't upgrade into F4 bios with "Keep DMI data" disabled (or in other words with DMI cleared) in Q-FLash, it will lead into the following sequence:
- Can't boot up with main bios
- Boot up from backup bios instead of main one.
- Copy backup bios to main bios

We have done several tests on GA-890FXA-UD7 (2.0) last days and confirmed it. After checking with bios engineers, your motherboard which failed to boot up from backup bios should be checked by RMA anyway because the problem is not due to not clearing DMI data.
ZX-S & C64 are still my favourites ;-)

ok ok  then the last time i flash to f4 i got the screen from the backup bios, which means that the backup bios is only good for one boot, someone should've say that

Hi all!

I am upgrade my BIOS to F4 without any issues using Q-Flash. I set “Keep DMI data” to “Disabled” when flashing.

I have AMD Phenom II x4 965 C3 Processor. AMD Overdrive is installed, but i am commonly not using it, prefer BIOS settings.
