question with the configuration of the memory

question with the configuration of the memory
« on: November 12, 2010, 07:16:44 pm »
I have doubts with the configuration of the memory  if they are correct or not

mb: m68m v2.3-sp2
CPU: Athlon X4 Quad-core 2.8GHz 630
Memory: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 2GB CM2X1024-8500C5D, according gives default 5-5-5-15 v 2.1
at 1066 mhz
now this is the configuration that gives me cpu-z: 5-7-7-24 unganged,
I manually change my question? or are they better?

greetings

To answer your question the Memory has defaulted to what the system thinks is correct.
If everything is running OK and there are no problems then you don't need to worry and I would suggest that you leave the timings alone. They are set a little slower than the rated values but, in the real world, I doubt you would really notice a difference.

However if you want to run your RAM at the rated timings then you will have to manually set them using the M.I.T. Section of BIOS.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.
