GA-X58A-UD7 Rev1.0 Quickboot and being unable to get into Bios

GA-X58A-UD7 Rev1.0 Quickboot and being unable to get into Bios
« on: September 12, 2010, 06:12:53 am »
Howdy all
When I enable Quickboot in bios I am unable to get into Bios after.  Almost like it goes to fast, and my keyboard does not respond to the DEL key in time.  Wondering if this is just how it is, or is it a keyboard specific problem?  Do some keyboards take longer to initiate on boot then others?  Using the Clear CMOS button of course works, but then I have to redo all of my settings, which isn't a HUGE deal, but I would prefer not to have if possible.

Thanks for any adviice...

Cheers!!! ;)

Is it a USB keyboard and if so do you have USB Legacy devices enabled in the BIOS?

You can always reset the CMOS and then load the optimised BIOS defaults.

I bought a new Logitech G15 keyboard today and I no longer have the problem.  I guess my old Microsoft Reclusa jsut took longer to initiate.

Cheers!!!
