Windows 7 will not start after updating my ud7 bios to f7 from f6????

well, my system worked great with bios f6, but everytime i upgrade to f7 my computer gets stuck in the windows 7 logo load page. The page or screen before the one where it asks you for a password. I upgraded the bios throughqflash and @bios, but some same problem even though the bios update says everything went good after it installs, but a the restart it gets stuck. Anyone know why?

Hi
My first question is why? You said your system was working perfectly before on F6  so why update the BIOS?

Because everybody likes an update.

If you'd changed IDE to AHCI you may have to recheck that and set it again.

It's worth a try, but usually you get a BSOD.

Reset all BIOS settings (Clear CMOS) and set your HDD controller correctly, and try now to see if it works.

I installed win7 in ahci mode. I know when you flash it it goes back to ide, so i did which it back but same problem. Does not matter which mode it is on it always get stuck in the windows is starting screen. I have tried many things, but always have to move back to f6 to work normal. Dont know what else it could be. Techsupport instructed me to load default settings in bios, which i did but same problem when i upgrade to bios f7.

I agree with this, sounds like you do not have the same disk settings you were previously using is all.   If using IDE before you need to use it now, same for AHCI, otherwise the exact symptoms you describe happens as windows tries to load.

Did you have a USB Stick inserted while you installed windows 7, or another hard drive?   If you did you may need to reconnect them, as sometimes if the BIOS is not setup correctly, and one of the above is true, the windows bootloader gets installed onto the secondary device.

Report it to Gigabyte thats all you can do no new BIOS update should need to break something that works.

To help Gigabyte find what the problem is you need to find what could cause it.

Try removing your DVD drive or try it in another SATA port controller.
Try not using the USB 3 ports
Remove your creative xfi champion series or try it in another slot even a x16 slot
Your using 8GB (4x2GB?) in a X58 which is a bit odd so try 6GB in the white slots then try the RAM in:
DDR3_2, DDR3_1, DDR3_4, DDR3_3 Then try DDR3_2, DDR3_1,DDR3_3, DDR3_5.

I had same problem and fixed by disabling USB keyboard in bios (it was enabled by default) as I use a PS/2 keyboard so I think it caused some incompatibility.

It can be surprising how many problems come down to such simple things in the end. That is often why they are overlooked I think.
