GA-X58A-UD5 REV 2 FA BIOS

Hi all,I have pretty much no experience on setting up DDR3 RAM modules, that's why I need your help !!!.I just tried the specified OCZ timings and voltage (7-7-7 and 1,65 volts...put the nearest available voltage 1,64) but I heard some beeping from the mobo.If I'm not wrong I had the onboard 'DDR PHASE LED' red on.Actually my RAMs are at 1600 MHZ,timings in 'AUTO' and voltage at 1,53 and I do not have any sort of problems but I'm convinced that I'm far away from having the correct setting.N.B.:I do not want to overclock my I7 950 3GHZ.Thanks to anybody who will answer.....

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Can you post the exact model number for the memory kit please?
I would expect that you are running them at too low a voltage. Normally OCZ uses higher voltages than most but you will be limited to 1.65V max.

Sorry but there's no other info than a label reporting the following diction "OCZ3P1600LV6GK" on the shipping box.I suppose that P stands for Platinum,LV stands for low voltage,6G for 6 gigabyte,K for Kit.This memory kit is in the Gigabyte QVL.

Yes I did find them in the end. They should work fine from the specs. You will have to put in the timings manually though as they don't have an XMP associated with them. I would suggest trying loosening the timings and set them to 9-9-9-36 and use 1.64v (some people actually run at 1.66v but it will give you a red light).

If you need to se the memory at the manufacturer's website it can be found here:
