GA-X58A-UD3R-rev2 USB Keyboard and Bios...
« on: October 04, 2010, 09:41:52 am »
First off, great forum guys :)

I did a quick search here and couldn't find the exact answer to this, but:

I have a Saitek Eclipse III keyboard and i'm having problems with it in the bios (FB).  I can enter the bios without a problem using the delete key and i can navigate and use the bios fine, EXCEPT for if I go into the MIT settings (first option in the bios" my keyboard goes dead and i have to plug in a ps/2.

As I said, all other cmos features are fine, its just as soon as I enter the Tweaking section my USB keyboard dies....

any ideas???

Hi and welcome to the forum. I am glad you like it.

We have had other people with similar complaints on the forum but not necessarilly with your keyboard. Usually it has just turned out to be a keyboard issue and swapping to another has cured it. You could try seeing if there is a BIOS update (maybe only a beta available) and making sure that you are plugging it directly into one of the motherboard ports (not USB3). Try TweakTown for the BIOS update as they usually have the latest versions.

Ya I believe FC1 BIOS may fix this, I know it did for many USB Keyboards.

Also, be sure you enable USB Keyboard support in the Integrated Peripherals BIOS page.
