Ga-P55-usb3 system problem?
« on: November 23, 2010, 04:11:10 pm »
Hello,
From all the review over the internet i decided to build a new 1156 system with:
Coolermaster Haf 922
i5-760 2.8Ghz
Corsair Xms3-1600 4gb
Gigabyte Ga-P55-Usb3
Ati Hd 3850 256mb
WD & Seagate 500gb hdds
Corsair Tx-750 PSU

I install everything and startup the computer with ubuntu usb. It manages to completely start, but the beeper keeps buzzing with no pauses.
What could be the problem?
Thank you in advance.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte UK Forum.

You are sure that it is the buzzer that is making the noises?

If so continuous short beeps usually means either a memory of power problem. You have a decent power supply so assuming everything is alright with it there should be ample power provided. Check all your connections to the motherboard.

With the power turned off check the meory is in the correct slots and fully home.

Failing that it could be that you have a short to earth against the chassis.
