Hi all, Dark Mantis. You seemed to have helped so many here I hope you can asist me with some problems I have decided not to give up on my GA-X58A-UD3R motherboard just yet.
Actually have had some luck with it since I disabled the profile1 settting for XMP and set the config manually. It is certainly stable enough that I have successfully loaded windows and for the most part it works well. I still have one a few issues though which though seem infrequent, are bothersome to say the least. I will try to give you as much info as possible as I know this helps, so here goes.
My System. Rev 1.0 motherboard. 12 gb Corsair ram (6 sticks), rated at 1600mhz, 9-9-9-24 1.65v These ram settings are for 3 sticks which is what I oringially had in the system. Thiis worked fine when i had the 3 stics and the problems have largely evolved since I have bought another pack of ram (same spec) and doubled the capacity from 6 to 12GB. I'm not sure if I should ramp up/down some of these settings to compensate for the incresed number of sticks, but it certainly seems so.
I am running the latest bios which is I belive version f6
Anyway Ram tests show the memory is fine BTW. The problem is after about 20 minutes the usb ports stop working. I have two D-link 7port usb hubs which work without issue. There is an LED indicator for each usb device that is connected to the hub. After about 20 - 30 minutes all the lights go out and none of the USB devices work. REmoving a device and reconnecting it makes no difference, i simply have to reboot to get my pc working again. The pc is working away in the background, it is just that the USB ports have died.
I appreciate your help as always.
