X58A-UD3R V2.0 - When CPU Multiplier gets down, CPU Bus gets down too!!!

Hi guys.

New board, new problems....
Not only the noise sound coming from PSU when C! state is on, now that i fixed it with a stock vcore and can turn on the C1 state, always when the multiplier changes, the bus changes too. And with it the memory speed also. Just to know i fixed the bus in 133 manualy.

is it normal?????

I'm using everest to check that information:



curious is that cpuZ doesn't register when clock gets down, only when it gets higher then stock speed.i7 930

Dont forget now that the memory controller is now on chip everything is tied together and unless you manually adjust the settings one adjustment will have an effect on the others.

makes sense, but the problem is... should the bus go up and down, even when i manually put it in 133, when the multiplier's CPU gets down by C1????

Check your Min/Max CPU states in advanced power options for the power plan you have chosen in control panel, power options.

Choose High Performance, or set Min/Max to 100 for both.   Then disable C1E and EIST in the BIOS
