GA-X58A-UD9 Wi-Fi Options

I looked over the Forum and did not see any discussion on this topic so I thought that I would start one.  Since the UD9 only has Graphic Card slots it seems to me the only way to make the PC have Wi-Fi is by adding a USB Wi-Fi adapter.  I was wondering if anyone else has come up with any other way to make there UD9 based PC Wi-Fi?

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

You are correct in your noticing that there are seven PCIE x16 slots for graphics card but of course you can also use one of them for a WiFi card or some other card if you want to. Just because they are capable of 16x doesn't mean that it has to be that it can take any PCIE card from 1x, 4x or more.

I gotta say that I feel pretty darn dumb  I'm a database engineer been building PC's all my life but I never even thought to read up about PCIE X16 or study its detail's  I just assumed I guess that it was a Graphic's only slot.... kinda like the old AGP slots.... if you tell me that you can fit something else into those  slots I think I will just have to never post on this forum again for embarrassment's sake.
