Gigabyte 6870OC (GV-R687OC-1GD) voltage control

Gigabyte 6870OC (GV-R687OC-1GD) voltage control

If I might ask, is there a way I can get my Gigabyte HD6870OC supported for controlling voltage?
I tried After Burnert 2.1 Beta 6, Gigabyte OC Guru, Asus Smart Doctor, Sapphire Trixx, non of support voltage controll.

Hi

Maybe it is because they don't want people to be able to change the voltage.  :-\

But why? The Windforce cooler is awesome, much better than stock. And with the reference card it is available to change. I don't understand it

Some cards have disabled software voltage control. Sometimes caused by money saving changes to VRMs which is exactly how it is with my 4870 512MB PCS+. Even though it has a far superior cooler compared to stock I wouldn't be able to increase the volts without hardware mods.

Yes I agree. The GPU I had installed until I recently exchanged it for a 6970 was a 4890 and I had a full watercooling cover on it so I could easilly have taken more heat but it wasn't an option.
