I have the same situation on a newly built system using this board.
System Info:
Windows 7 Pro (64)
Gigabyte x58a-ud3r rev 2
Intel i7-950 processor
6GB Oztech RAM (3x2GB)
ATI Radeon HD 5770 video card
Intel/Microcenter 64GB SSD G2 SF-1200 series drive (system files only boot)
Seagate Baracuda 1 TB SATA drive (programs/storage)
Lite-On SATA DVD burner
It runs fine during the day but when I come in the following day I cannot wake the system up. When I hit the reset button I notice the SSD is not being recognized in the BIOS and it will not boot. When I power off completely and restart the SSD drive shows up in the BIOS and boots up after asking me if I want to boot into safe mode.
I suspect it's an issue waking the SSD from sleep/hibernation which is causing this problem, and since the SSD is not waking, the systems files aren't available and shuts the board down? I will look into the hotfix from Microsoft to see if that helps and I am also changing my power settings to Hi Perf.
I leave my system on 24/7 because I remote connect from home when working on some projects so this is a big deal for me. I will follow up if I find a solution.
Cheers,
- Ralph
