« on: December 06, 2010, 05:48:03 pm »
Question: can I make xhd raid 0 with two different hd-s? First is wd velicaptor 150GB and second hitachi 200GB. Is it the right way that I need first to install OS Win7-64 and than add another disk in array? MB is p55a-ud4.

You will need two drives the same to make raid and build your raid in bios. Then install your OS.

In theory it is possible to use two similar but not exactly the same drives to make a RAID but at best you would lose a big chunk of hard drive space and I certainly wouldn't want to try with two drives so different. Get two drives that are the same as Fatman said if you want to run a RAID0.
