Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum

I've just built a new PC and would like to which power-saving utilitiy to use. The board comes with Gigabyte's Energy saver 2 and windoze has it's own power saving system.
any thoughts?
I'm not a gamer and the pc is on all day for skype etc.
thanks in advance for any "illumination"

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Personally I don't like any of these free programs that comes with the motherboards, of any make not just Gigabyte. They tend to cause more problems than they cure.

The BIOS and Windows both have enough energy saving settings to bury you so I hardly think more is necessary. One word of warning though a lot of problems seem to stem from these "green" settings so use with caution.

I would advise not using the motherboard disk for the drivers needed but download them direct from the website as they will be more up to date.
