GA-890FXA-UD7 Problems
« on: December 13, 2010, 04:12:39 am »
Anyone else have one of the set up yet. I'm having problems from day one.

Here are my specs.

GA-890FXA-UD7
HexaCore AMD Phenom II X6 Black Edition 1090T, 3616 MHz (18 x 201)
Patriot Memory 1600EL Series   2 GB DDR3-1066 DDR3 SDRAM (7-7-7-20 @ 533 MHz) (6-6-6-18 @ 457 MHz)   X4= 8 GIG total
AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (1024 MB)  X 2 crossfire configuration
Creative SB X-Fi Audio Controller Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series
C300-CTFDDAC128MAG ATA Device (119 GB, IDE)  SSD SATA 3
Saitek Eclipse Multimedia Keyboard (HID)
Canon MP560 series Printer
Windows 7 X64 Ultimate Edition

The problems started with the install first took about two hours to install windows.
Thought either SSD Hard Drive or DVD Rom.No errors just long read times and lots of inactivity.
I now get intermittent Blue screens  I have found many errors in event viewer that are hard to get resolved.
I have been able to correct some but others are not so common to me.
Here are some of the errors.

MBAMDrvService failed to start error cant find file
ASPI32 failed to load
\Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device USB\Vid_045e&Pid_063e\ae55b7c9-1b54-40e4-aa77-0b06129a3080
ES lite Service for program management. file cant be found.
You get the idea there are more but i don't want to bore anyone to much.
Anyone have any ideas on what me be wrong with this system. All new parts Its so many weird things going on I'm overwhelmed with it. Will probably just go for a reinstall but would like to have some answers first.
Thanks for looking....

Couple things come to mind what firmware does ur ssd have and are you running it in achi mode.  Also what controller are you using.
When first installing do u have usb items hooked up besides keyboard and mouse and more than one monitior. Also which sata plug in are you using sats 2 or the sata 3?  This is all important info that will be needed to get to the root of the problem.

Hi There
Thanks for the reply. I had to do some checking before I responded to your post. The hard drive has firmware 2 which has most of the major updates. I tried to update the firmware from 2 to 6 last night with no luck The boot disk didnt work properly.
Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller
Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller
AXAN21TM IDE Controller
GIGABYTE GBB36X Controller
These are all the controlers I find under my drives.Im not sure which one The SSD drive uses or if it uses all of them. I didnt have anything pluged into the USB but the keyboard and mous and one monitor.
The first 3 banks of sata slots are Sata3 6Gb/s thats what Im using slot one. Then the last two are sata2 3 Gb/s
Thanks Again.
