Hi,
I just built a new HTPC with the following:
mb GA-H57M-USB3
PSU: Seasonic X Series 400W 80+ Gold
HD: OCZ Vertex 2 SSD
CPU: i3-540
Mem: G.Skill ECO 2x2gb DDR 1333 (10666CL7D-4GBECO)
OS: Windows 7 Pro.
BIOS: F9
The majority of the time everything works fine, but occasionally when I wake the PC up from sleep the fans and power light will come on for a second then everything will turn off, then they will come back on again for another second and then off and so on, until I pull the power cord.
This only happens sometimes when I wake it up, say 1 in 8 times. The other 7 times it wakes up fine. In fact, it even manages to wake up on it's own sometimes but figure this is just due to some scheduled process in Win 7. Still that 1 time it goes into this loop cycle is 1 time too many. Does anyone have any suggestion on what could be wrong?
FYI. I've left all the BIOS settings as delivered (mostly because I'm pretty clueless when it comes to changing them). The only thing I did change was to enable XMP so that the memory voltage would be automatically set to 1.35v vs. 1.5v (the reboot cycle happens regardless of whether XMP is enabled or not).
Cheers,
Finn
