Hi,
I have a EP45 UD3P MB,v. 1.1 - Bios F7. (original Bios).
Q6600 Quad Core, Corsair HX 640 PSU, ATI 4870 Graphics, and i have tried 4 Corsair and 2 G.Skill Sticks.
Here is the problem. It worked fine for a year, and then started to go thru a loop when i press the power button on. It will try to Post several times, then i restart and sometimes restarting does it, but most of the time i have to change out a stick of memory, or it will NOT post.
It just sounds like a fan or electronic speeding up and slowing down, speeding up and slowing down.
When i first put it together, i had 4 sticks of corsair, but i had problems. Then i got the G.Skill (all are supposed to be compatible) and ran it in just slot # 1 & 3. and that was fine for a year. Just 2-2GB sticks this time.
When it does boot up, its usually fine for the whole day. Sometimes lately though it freezes up when i am doing something.
I think it might be FAULTY MEMORY SLOTS in the MB. And they are slowly making my RAM go bad.
I tried testing all memory sticks with both Windows Memory Test, and MEMTEST 86, all showed NO errors.
The problem is rellly just booting up. Sometimes when i finally get it to post, and it goes to BIOS and then Windows starting up, i get the BSOD.
Mostly it boots up fine though at this point.
