Hi I was about to purchase a GA-880GA-UD3H until I found out that I cannot use it to unlock all four cores on my 555BE CPU. Basically what I wanted to know is if anyone has had any experience with the GA-785GMT-USthe CPU B3. From what I read on this forum it can be used to unlock the CPU without stability issues.
Below is a list of compatible Gigabyte mobo's that can unlock the phenom II 555BE CPU.

I may have a problem, then again there may be a simple adaptor or something similar.
The problem I have is that the mobo uses a 8 pin ATX power connector whilst my PSU has a 4 pin connector.
The main connector is fine and has the required 24 pin connector but I am stumped to figure out why my PSU doesnt have a 8 pin connector.

You can buy a 4 pin to 8 pin adaptor lead to allow you to use your older style connector.
Also, depending on which motherboard/CPU you are getting you can still use your 4 pin connector in the 8 Pin connector.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

The current AMD motherboards have the Core Unlock option in the BIOS. There are no guarantees concerning stability issues being made. Not all Phenom II X2 555 will unlock all cores but many will be successfull in unlocking the 3rd and 4th core.

The 8 pin EPS12V power connector has been around since 2005. Most good quality power supplies have it. You can also use a 4 to 8 pin EPS12V adapter. Some motherboard manuals will tell you that if you only have the 4-pin line you can use use the 4-pin connector and which of the pins can be left unconnected on the EPS12V power connector.
