X58A-UD7 - RAID ISSUES After BIOS Upgrade
« on: January 12, 2011, 08:16:37 pm »
I Recently upgraded to Version F7 BIOS but on restart 2 of my RAID5 Array Drives are showing NON RAID Disks under the BIOS of the RAID Controller. The 3 drives are Seagate 2TB on Ports 0,1,2 on the Motherboard. Reason i updated was i get getting problems with SSD Drive and also USB3. I had NO problems with the RAID Array at all, but i do now, i have raised a ticket with Support and there looking into it, what are your thought on this, the array had got some data on it that is unreplaceable so im keen to fix this issue.... Help :(

After you ran the BIOS update and loaded optimised BIOS Defaults did you set it up for RAID again before booting into the OS?

Yes i ran optimsed and set for RAID, Saved in BIOS. BIOS rebooted PC and on startup of POST the RAID controller advised that the Array had failed, Port 0&2 drives Drives are showing NON RAID DISK - Port 1 is showing as a member disk at RAID controller BIOS level.
