Can't see the 3G device on T1125N

My laptop has just been delivered 2 days ago, but I can't see the 3G device.. Do I need to do anything?

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

I must admit to not being familiar with this device however I am sure that the 3G component is built in and not necessarilly noticable. Have you checked in the manual for more information on it?

You do understand that the 3G module is an optional extra ?

I chose the model that comes with the built in 3G modem (T1125N) not the (T1125M),  and the laptop even came with the 3G software, but I cannot see the device from the Device Manager..

Have you checked that all available drivers are installed?

Is there any instructions in the manual relating to this item particularly?

seems like the model that was sent to me doesn't have the device installed. that I will sort out with the retailer.

In case I need to have this modem installed, can I get it separately, because that is my main requirement for the laptop (built-in 3G)..

Although I would imagine the device to be available seperately I ma sure the retailer will just swap the unit for the correct one as that is the easier and more straightforward way to go.

It is NOT true that the T1125N has the built-in 3G modem. There are different configurations of the N version. They ALL have the SIM card slot and antenna, but the module is only installed on certain configurations. There were errors on certain websites listing the N version as 3G and the M version as not.

It is also the case that it is the Huawei EM770W which Gigabyte have used on a few generations of their netbooks now for this module.

I would like to buy the t1125n  but with a french keyboard.none on the market ,so please could do you tell me what kind of keyboard if possible .so i could try to acquire a  compatible spare one separetely? ( keyboard model ,serial,manufacturer or any references  picture)

thanks but have already tried ggts :they oriented me to expansys ,and expansys tookme back to ggts!!

i thougt you had bought one,so i was hoping to get some indication on a sticker at the back af your laptop a serial number or whatever.
even a picture might be help full.is it the same as on previous gigabytes notebook-booktops? i found spare keyboards for t1028 for exemple on some online stores.

The only thing I can suggest is to try Googling for it. There must be some pictures on the net that would help you.
