First time here, great forum BTW. Looked through ~200 recent posts and have not seen this mentioned…
I just installed the new and very popular GA-X58A-UD3R (rev 2.0). Running windows 7 (64 bit) as best as I can tell fine except for one unusual thing that has me stumped.
If I run a core intensive program (e.g. Google earth) which raises the CPU core temp, the CPU temp LED’s come on red, green… which I assume is fine BUT as each LED lights up I hear a slight click sound (like a relay making contact). It’s always 1 click per LED. The click occurs when each separate LED comes on and again when it goes off.
Are there relays on this board? If so I worry about them “pitting/corrosion etc.” over time.
I cannot tell if it’s the motherboard or the power supply (GX 650W).
Has anybody else seen/heard this with this motherboard or any other motherboard for that matter.
