GA-P67A-UD4 question
« on: January 21, 2011, 05:14:26 am »
Hi guys,

I'm planning to build an i5 2500K machine using the GA-P67A-UD4. Been reading quite a bit and seems all the P67 motherboards (not just Gigabyte's) are going through their growing pains so for now I will stay away from overclocking until the bios gets further along. Not a glutton for punishment here.

My question is, how is the GA-P67A-UD4 behaving using default settings? Are they running stable? I just want my machine to run for now until we get better bios versions.

Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

The platform is very good and apart from a minor glitch with the BIOS and BIOS utility @BIOS they have been performing well.

Looking forward to my own build uising these components but as you say probably best not to overclock to hard for now.

Thank you DM for the quick response.

One more question, I have a 2 yr old NZXT 800w power supply laying around. Do you foresee any issues with this PSU? I don't see it in the list of approved vendors.

I wouldn't have thought that you will get any problems with that PSU. As long as it has all the necessary connections, which I would expect it to, it should be fine. Two years old isn't enough to worry about for a decent quality power supply.
